New leadership award from Australian Centre for Leadership for Women

Applications are open for CLW's new leadership Award for 2012, ‘Sustaining Women’s Empowerment in Communities and Organisations’  (SWECO) Award which aims to honour female and male individuals and groups who have developed a sustainable initiative to empower women in a community or organisation.

Australian women and men are invited to submit a SWECO Application to describe initiatives for economic and social empowerment of women in Australian communities and organisations.

The focus this year is on skills development, to provide Government with strategic input on key issues affecting women for the Federal Budget 2012, and increase the skills of women's advocates to participate in Federal Budget processes 2013.
